Alyssa is so excited to be back home as she joins the CCI team as a fellow! She is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she double-majored in English and Secondary Education with a minor in Italian. The Lord has had a grip on Alyssa’s heart ever since her parents can remember but it wasn’t until her first overseas trip to Hungary in her junior year of high school, where she saw the eternal hope and unmatched compassion of a relationship with Christ overwhelm herself and her students, that she developed a heart for the lost. Still, Alyssa had other plans for her future but the Lord, in his kindness, continued to pursue her up until this summer, when she felt the call to connect college students to the hope of Jesus and discover their true worth in their identity in Him. Alyssa has spent her years in college experiencing Christ’s kingdom through her local church and deepening her love for him through Cru’s one-on-one discipleship while pursuing students, specifically sorority women. She can’t wait to foster relationships and share the good news with students through CCI! When not on campus, you will likely find her meeting students at a new coffee shop every week, dancing like nobody is watching, or giving an impromptu, and arguably unwanted, ted talk on her love for Capri suns and crocs.
