Mitchell grew up in a Christian home and experienced the love of Jesus Christ in a new way after moving to North Carolina during the start of middle school, and then again during a summer 2019 mission trip in Miami, Florida. It was here that God placed a call on his heart for ministry which led him to the Moody Bible Institute. It was during his time at Moody where he encountered the overwhelming need for Jesus Christ in the city of Chicago. Mitchell’s heart is for the city of Chicago to experience renewal through the transformative Gospel of Jesus Christ and his prayer is to see the next generation of the city experience this new life through the ministry of Chicago Campus Initiative at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
